Troubled by its development cycle, rife with rumours of studio upheavals and worker dissatisfaction. Just another day in the sordid tale of LA Noire, Rockstar's post-war living breathing Detective story.

Now it seems the title's gained another wrinkle and another platform to show off the superb character modelling, movie noir setting, and engrossing tale of a beat cop working his way through the LA Police Force fighting corruption and crime in equal measures.

The Xbox 360 will get the game as well as PS3, probably because Rockstar really can't afford the game to fail, sales wise at this point.

More will be revealed at E3 this year.

This is exactly why these companies should hold off on announcements until the game is good and ready to go.

I remember when Sony announced this. All they had to show was the freakin' logo and an air of smugness :)

Well there's still not that much more to show, except some utterly glorious target renders which really won't look anything like that once they've applied the GTA IV engine to it.

Target render now attached. Next month's game informer seem to have the scoop but I'm guessing there won't be anything in the mag to even hint at what the game will actually be like.

This was originally multi-platform anyway. I remember seeing it in early 360 mags as one to look out for, and was bloody annoyed when Sony announced it as PS3 exclusive.

Looks like it's switched back to that.

Apparently the game's coming in September. Looks like Q4's going to be another very busy game schedule.
