Sony's Move System "incredibly accurate compared to the Wii"

Speaking to techy site Develop, Dundee based games developer Lol Scagg (really!), head of Cohort Studios has described the difference between Sony's Move Motion Control System and the system it will always inevitably be compared with, the Nintendo Wii.

"It's incredibly accurate, scarily so" said Scagg. "The developer libraries are coming along, and there's plenty of support. Having used both controllers a lot, I'd say it was clear that the Move controller is so much more accurate [than the Wii]. And it's not just across the X and Y-axis either, the Z axis is really accurate as well."

Meanwhile, Microsoft has also been detailing the rigorous testing regime that will be applied to any titles developed for its rival Natal system.

European Development Manager Ben Board states that Natal titles must adhere to strict guidelines before they're approved for release.

"We believe that players should do platform-specific stuff identically, no matter what the title, such as reading the same terminology, spending points in the same way, having one way to send and act on game invites, and the like, to lessen the risk of confusion."

The battle lines are drawn. Is Nintendo's position in the market in any danger? Which of the new motion control systems will you nail your colours to? Write some stuff in the box below. It's good for your karma.
