Gerlandino Messina, a real-life Mafia boss, was this week arrested by police in his native Italy. And in an ironic twist of fate, was caught while he was playing the Godfather video game on Xbox 360.

Among the country's 30 most dangerous fugitives, Messina has been on the run for 11 years but was eventually caught in his hideout where, among other things, police are rumoured to have found a whole collection of gangster-related games including GTA IV, Mafia II and the aforementioned Godfather.

Wanted for 'mafia-type' crimes including several murders, massacres, destruction, detention and the import of explosive materials, the streets are surely now a safer place to live, unless of course, he does a Saints Row 2 and busts out of that joint?
