 - Aliens: Colonial Marines, Gearbox, Multiformat, Sega, Duke Nukem is out before this!

Ho Hum, perhaps they should've just called it "Aliens Forever". Troubled Sega / Gearbox game Aliens: Colonial Marines seems to have been shuffled to the back of the development heap yet again, with the release of the game "unlikely in 2011" according to Gearbox head honcho Randy Pitchford.

Quoted in an EGM Interview, and via a roundabout post at Neogaf, it looks like the game has been delayed - again - but might end up as a moneyspinner in Q1 2012 instead.

Anticipation for the game was high before Christmas when Pitchford's twitter feed assured fans the game hadn't been forgotten. A brace of new screenshots even emerged, showing off exactly the sort of Aliens game you'd want to play (with no frickin' Predators in it, for a start!)

Sad news. Feels like we've been waiting for this for aeons (it's getting on for 10 years at least since those first PS2 teasers were shown!)

...now Pitchford's saying it will make 2011. You've got to love the games industry. It's like a school playground filled with chinese whispers when it comes to release schedules and solid dates.

Now they're saying Spring 2012. This has had more release dates and slots than Duke Nukem Forever.

But ah, it looks good. Very good. Sulaco - check, Hadley's Hope - check - New fireteam rostered in to investigate - check.

But wait a second, what about the fusion reactor blowing?
