One Washington mum got more than she expected when she purchased a new videogame for her 9 year old daughter. Kara Petrich went to the Big Lots store in Tacoma and thought she was buying an "E"-rated game (suitable for everyone according to US game age ratings).

Instead,  her daughter Paisley ended up playing a mislabeled dating game packed with adult innuendos and risque remarks.

The game, "Sprung" features the comedic sexploits of a bunch of ski bums. Despite the box and the cartridge being clearly labelled as "Monkeyz" - a virtual pet game, the child instead got slightly more monkey business than she bargained for.

A Big Lots spokesman apologised profusely for the error, though it seems the cartridges were actually mislabelled at a mastering plant.
