Dozens of Facebook games, including the madly popular Zynga game Farmville illegally break Facebooks privacy terms and conditions, and forward your user information and personal details to marketing companies, an investigation has discovered.

An article in the Wall Street Journal leaked the investigation's findings and also highlighted a "devil may care" attitude by most social network site users, who often skip past the small print of any site-based game or application without bothering to read it.

Calls have been made to ban certain games from use by minors.
