The thing that intrigues me the most about the not-too-far-off release of Nintendo's 3DS console is how exactly are developers and publishers going to go about promoting their games? The 3DS's unique selling point, lest we forget, is its ability to display 3D without the need for glasses, an ability the humble PC monitor doesn't have.
Well it seems Konami has just the answer as it today released the first official trailer for Winning Eleven 3DSoccer on the 3DS. And that answer ladies and gentlemen, is to just not worry about the 3D.
The trailer doesn't give much away and is too low a resolution to be able to make out much of the detail detail but the one thing we can construe from it is that, rather worryingly, Konami seems insistent on making you play the game using the inferior Action camera position, rather than the traditional and more appropriate Tele camera position. No doubt under the guise that the Action cam makes better use of the 3D with players moving in and out of the foreground more.
Still, we'll reserve judgement until we've had some proper hands-on with the game and trust that Konami will put its best effort into making Winning Eleven 3DSoccer the best hand-held representation of the beee-aaaaa-yooowww-tiful game.
