Konami brings out its big guns

Eurogamer today announced that Konami will be bringing a trio of titles to its Earl's Court Expo between the 1st and 3rd of October.

The Eurogamer Expo, which has increased exponentially since its debut two years goes from strength to strength with this year no exception. Today's announcement that Konami will be unveiling playable demos of Saw II: Flesh & Blood, Castlevania: Lords of Shadows and Def Jam Rapstar is testament to its pulling power.

From the press release:

Def Jam Rapstar is the first true interactive Hip Hop music game. The ultimate emcee experience for video game consoles, Def Jam Rapstar is the only music game that focuses exclusively on Hip Hop, you and your social networks. With more than 40 of the greatest Hip Hop songs available at release, from A Tribe Called Quest’s ultimate posse track “Scenario” to Ludacris’ hit single “Stand Up” and Chipmunk’s “Chip Diddy Chip”, Def Jam Rapstar allows you to be the star by rhyming, using your console camera, and uploading your video to the fully integrated Def Jam Rapstar community at www.defjamrapstar.com.

The eagerly awaited sequel, Saw II: Flesh & Blood, invites players back into Jigsaw’s twisted world, and promises all-new stomach-twisting traps and puzzles, more visceral combat, and an all-new storyline that takes place between the second and third movie. As such, players can delve deeper into the horror and mystery of Jigsaw’s terrified subjects.

Castlevania: Lords of Shadow is an epic 3D action title set in a ravaged Europe of the middle ages. The planet has been devastated by a powerful magic. The souls of the dead are trapped on our earthly plane unable to find peace, and inhuman creatures of nightmare now roam the Earth, wreaking havoc. Having witnessed his wife Marie (voiced by Natascha McKelhone) murdered at their hands, Gabriel (Robert Carlyle) pledges revenge against those responsible: the mysterious Lords of Shadow.

Rupert Loman, Managing Director at Eurogamer said: “It’s great to have Konami onboard with such a fantastic line up, particularly one that demonstrates the eclectic mix of games that will be on show and, most importantly, playable.”

I don't think I'd actually be crowing about having Saw II to show off. Not if it's anything like the first SAW game.

Still need to finish the first Saw. Got stuck on an utter bastard of a puzzle (time limit, it wasn't a mind bender)).

T'was mostly shite, but it almost got a few things right.
