Never keep an online-gamer from his drug
A Swedish teen, aged 18, has allegedly stabbed a 15-year-old girl during a rage, after a faulty internet connection left him unable to play Starcraft online.

On 9th August, the teen became furious when his internet connection ceased to work and left him unable to play Starcraft online. In his frustrated rage, he stormed out onto the street with a kitchen knife and attacked a girl who was walking by. The girl's multiple stab injuries were non-fatal.

The angry teen has been sentenced to psychiatric care. As the teenager's psychiatric state was not sound at the time, the attack has been classed as attempted manslaughter, as the teen had no intention of murdering the girl when he had left his house.

Check out this article for more cases of online games causing real life violence. Just make sure there's no sharp objects lying around when you visit your MMO-playing friends, okay? We care about your health.

Starcraft? Man, I knew people still played that, but damn! You would have to be cackers to have an episode like that just to play it. Can't wait for those campaigning against games and sponsoring censorship to pick this up and try to spin it off for what it is'nt.

He deserves everything he gets. I mean, the other day I was online and the power went out, and I got mad as hell, but I didn't stab anyone!

Starcraft isn't an MMO and the game didn't inspire him to stab a girl, it was his unhealthy addiction to gaming. No better than a drug addiction.

This is why bigwig politcians want to abolish video games because the actions of one person somehow make everyone who plays games violent.
