Episodic games are super hard to review, I can't tell you much of the story, just a basic overview really. In this second to last instalment decisions you've made in the earlier chapters start to roll in their consequences. Alliances come to light and rivalries come to conclusions. You most likely wouldn't have played the same way as I have, so your story will not be quite the same. It is always interesting though, not quite as edge of the seat as earlier episodes, but it is a good yarn and sets up the finale quite nicely.

In the week in which Telltale Studios, former king of the new style point and click adventure, went under, there is almost more pressure on developer Big Bad Wolf to deliver some innovation to the genre, and as with the previous episodes The Council Episode 4: Burning Bridges manages to deliver. The conversation simulator is as clever as ever, with characters each having their vulnerabilities, whether it's having their ego stroked, strong arm tactics or they could be susceptible to good old fashioned detective work.

By now you'll have worked through some of you skill tree and unlocked some abilities down one of your chosen paths, and you'll need these as items to buff your investigation skills are running low this time so your choices will need to be even more considered.

Apart from a couple of minor technical stumbles The Council Episode 4: Burning Bridges again provides an excellent and importantly, different take on the traditional adventure game. It more than proves well worth your time, if you haven't given it a chance yet, now is the time to pull the trigger. The end is fast approaching and up to now it's been one hell of a ride.
