Looked a bit disappointing I thought.

Still, free picture and theme packs FTMFW!

The city and vehicles looked excellent. Nicely detailed and the lighting was impressive.

What lets the game down is the character animation. Not so much the faces as they look fine, more the movement. They still have that rather stilted GTA style to them. I thought they would have reworked this for the next gen version.

Still that's just nitpicking a minute long trailer. All I really want to know is if they have finally sorted out the rubbish weapon/hand to hand combat controls.

Second viewing on the PS3 (as predicted, on the US store today, prolly won't see it on the European one for ages) and it looks a bit better but feck me, FRAMERATES, FRAMERATES!

Bundles of detail there this time around though, and it's lovely to see the same cars cropping up in this, albeit looking all nice and hi res and detailed.

Agreed, the framerates look a bit lacking on a second viewing. Otherwise, I'm extremely happy to see a developer using next-gen to add more rich content rather than just up the shinies

Looked alright. That's it really. Just hope to god they manage to shoehorn the trademark levity into what currently looks like a darker game.

People will still be fighting in the shops to get hold of a copy.

Well, to get hold of the 360 version at least. I'm sure me and the other 6 PS3 owners in my area won't have too much of a battle on our hands to secure a copy.

Depends which comes out first - if it's a simultaneous release then it could be alright. But at the current rate of PS3 titles turning up a good month or two after the 360 versions of stuff, I know which I'll be picking up - the one that arrives earliest.

I thought it looked pretty amazing really, although it is worrying that any clip where something was actually happening the frame rate slowed to a crawl so I expect they'll remove the v-sync for the final release with the obvious consequences :(
