Did I miss the info on the 'cups'?

I'd noticed that I have a little cup appear under my name. Then I just noticed Hairy has three cups!

What's the deal? I'm still hoping that enough people will prefer me so I can get an extra half star.....

It's related to stories you have published on AATG. I forget the exact ranges, but if you have one published you get your first cup.
