You know the type, usually by Carolco or Orion. Not necessarily straight to video, but ones which definitely made their names on VHS. I'm dying to see Battle Beyond The Stars again. |

I'm too young but how about Masters Of The Universe. Courtney Cox and Dolph Lundgren. How did their budget stretch that far? /sees special effects. ...It's okay. I know how. |

Um, that's not underrated because everyone knows it's completely awesome. |

The Sword and The Sorcerer. I can't believe it's available on dvd. I remember it being a really gruesome version of Hawk the Slayer... |

And, because I'm able to link for the first time in ages, there's also The Changeling. Bring a change of underwear for that one. |

Hmm, this is clearly a thread for people a little older than me, or possibly I just parsed out all this shit as a child. |

Then there's Cutter's Way, which is just great. If anyone ever finds a copy of Freebie and The Bean on DVD, do let me know. Cult buddy-cop movie from the 70s. |

This thread surely can't go on for much longer without some Chuck Norris movies...? |

Gotta be this 'un Kid finds a laser gun and a mysterious necklace. Puts on the necklace, it turns him into a homicidal maniac. He goes around blowing shit up. Aliens turn up and shoot him and take back their property. Some of the WORST effects in the world ever! Oh and just in case you're feeling particularly in need of watching some real shit, try Airwolf's Jan Michael Vincent and The A-Team's George Peppard together at last! Peej |

Sneaking it into the eighties due to production date, I give you The Ambulance. |

Not quite 80's but still awsome. |

Runaway - Tom Selleck and Gene Simmons..? 12:01PM - Awww it's 1990... and It's the 1993 TV remake that I have seen. Doh. Remo Williams - Remo's martial arts trainer is awesome... Remo Williams: You know, Chiun, there are times when I really like you. Chiun: Of course. I am Chiun. Remo Williams: And there are times when I could really kill you. Chiun: Good. We will practice that after dinner. Remo Williams: Are you hurt? Chiun: No. When you approach middle age, there is a tendency toward bruising, my son. Remo Williams: What? What did you call me? Chiun: I called you a clumsy oaf. You drive like a monkey in heat. Chiun: The trained mind does not need a watch. Watches are a confidence trick invented by the Swiss. Remo Williams: You know, Chiun, you're a real pain in the ass. Chiun: That is because it is the fastest way to your brain. Chiun: [Talking to Remo] Put your hands behind your head. [Remo complies, and doubles over from a blow from Chiun, too fast to be seen ] Chiun: I did not say keep them there. Your reflexes are pitiful! The seasons move faster. |

Here's one: Krull. When it came out on video, I recall it being a Cert X (remember them?), yet I'm sure it was on one sunday afternoon a couple of years ago. I remember it scared me to death when I saw it as a kid (those things bursting through the face masks of the enemies)... but it also had Lysette Anthony. Which confused me in nice ways when I was young. :) |

Someone else has seen Remo: Unarmed and Dangerous!? o/ |

Links have borked for me again... but can someone dig out a link to The Beastmaster? Marc Singer, very early 80s, I think. |
