For me, the trash stopped when Battle Beyond the Stars was mentioned. :-)

So if this has kind of evolved into favourite culty 70s and 80s films can I start playing my sci-fi apocalyptic cards? Logan's Run, Soylent Green, Holocaust 2000...? Nah, maybe a different thread required. Which reminds me of a thread I've been meaning to make...

It ain't eighties, but it's vintage McClure. His best moment, I reckon.

Sad to see when hunting for the link that he died over 10 years ago...I had no idea :-(

And he'd been married 5 times, the old rogue.

Doug McClure will never die as long as someone remembers his classic films.

Getting away from the 1980's post Star Wars crap Sci-Fi for a second, I'd like to add a couple of Andrew McCarthy films -

Mannequin

Class

McCarthy, Rob Lowe and John Cuzack in one place, how did the planet survive.

Seeing as this thread has descended into Troma territory, how about one that makes all the others look good by comparison: Def By Temptation. It's got vampires and Samuel L Jackson. What more could you possibly want?

It's a great thread, and deserved to be resurrected IMHO.
