Following on from HA's celebrity thread.

James Blunt.

I'm sorry, I like him.

And Simon Webb, of Blue fame.

tATu is probably the most obvious one I could think of. (And yes, I do mean the music, and not just watching the videos.)

Although to be fair, a lot of my music collection could be considered "guilty pleasures" by most people.

Girls Aloud haven't made a bad record yet.

Girls Aloud & Gwen Steffani both get turned up rather than off in my house. :)

I like all of the above, which is quite embarrasing being i used to be a long-haired rocker type.

Except for Barry Manilow, which is more wrong than the wrongest thing.

Heyyy!! You can't beat a bit of Bazza! :o)

It's a great karaoke number, and pretty good for practicing your salsa moves with the laydeez.

You've not heard the latest single then, as ridiculed on the Chris Evans show last night?

Me, I've grown to quite like the latest Take That album... :(

Another nod here for Girls Aloud. And Toxic by Britney is a fucking classic.

I love some of Grace Jones' stuff too.

I'll admit to liking most of Girls Aloud's stuff, don't own any of it mind. Same with the odd Britney track too.

Something I utterly detest at the moment is the godawful cover of The Kaiser Chief's "Oh My God" by Lily Allen.

SHE MUST DIE.

In no way whatsoever is Toxic a guilty pleasure - it's probably one of the best pop songs of the past ten years, straight up.

On the other hand, I do seem to remember finding a copy of 'Oops I did it again' in my record collection, which I don't remember buying. In my defence, I must've been drunk yr honour.

That's not so much a guilty pleasure as just a plan bad record. So in terms of guilty pleasures, I did pick up the first five Roxy Music albums in the sales the other day, and got rather hooked on them. You can probably put my Kate Bush albums in the 'guilty pleasure' category too.

It's a pretty bad song that got massively overplayed even before Mark Ronson covered it. I don't actually think Lily Allen did too bad a job of it considering. But then I quite like Ms Allen in small doses - but I bought her album and have never been able to listen to it all the way through.

The cover of Toxic on that Mark Ronson album is utterly pointless however. As are the people there covering their own songs. A pox on you, Kasabian and Paul Smith out off of Maximo Park.

I have to admit liking Toxic too, it's a bloody good pop song, and I'm not normally into pop.

I guess my most guilty pleasure is Cradle of Filth. They are clearly utter shit, but I find their stuff a lot of fun, though I often laugh when I listen to some of it. Liv Kristine's guest vocals on Nymphetamine are wonderful though and make that a superb track.

Aqua.

What? Cartoon Heroes is one of the best songs ever written, FACT!

And no it has nothing to do with me having a huge stonk on for Lena.

I happened across Barbie Girl on one of the music channels yesterday. I had to see it through, mostly for Lene and partly because none of them are taking it seriously.

S'what I like about 'em. They KNOW they're cheesy but they don't care.

I bought the album in the end, despite the shame attached. Dr Jones is also a fucking superb track.

Mind you, nothing beats racing down the A34 in your newly repaired car on a blisteringly hot summers day listening to St Etienne's "Nothing can stop us" - fuck what a top tune!

Girls aloud songs are fine for me as long as it's the video. I can't make myself buy a record of them knowing it's mainly because they are all intensely fuckable :o)

Same with Britney, Beyonce and Christina - some decent songs but I never hear them without the video there.

I will admit to owning shite like Limp Bizkit but I honestly can't think of anything I currently like that I can feel guilty about.

I hated The Kaisers original, but absolutely LOVE Lilly Allens version of 'Oh My God'.

Exactly the same goes for the Kasabian track. The original did absolutely nothing for me, but the Ronson version is ace. I absolutely LOVE it - especially with the proceeding intro.

Ah, I rather liked LSF when it first came out. I guess that's the pattern - if you liked the original you'll hate any reworking. I think Just is the only track where I like the original and the cover.
