I once stood on a 600 laptop with the lid shut.

Well, it depends exactly what counts. I've seen a dog worth well into the six figures shatter his hock.

edit: for some reason I though the title was 'you've seen broken'. Something must be up.

Hmm, I stood on and smashed my 400 quid guitar. That hurt.

When I was younger I tried to fly a kite in the living room and broke an antique Japanese lamp. I guess that was a few hundred quid.

And I wrote off my Mum's car many years ago. Wasn't my fault though.

I was cleaning some computer stuff with one of those air cans, I went vaguely near a 1000 network switch and there was a loud bang and all the lights on the front went off. And then there was smoke. Which proves that some moisture does come out of those cans!

I broke a promise once to a beautiful woman that lead to a covert invasion of Bolivia.

I grazed a boulder in a brand new Land Rover Discovery - however I only did 85 worth of damage.

I once plugged a 1st gen ntsc xbox devkit into the 240v mains and it blew. I'm sure it was worth a grand or more.

I once used an antique plate for air gun target practice. I didn't actually realise it was an antique as my (eccentric) Nan had actually been using it to serve the dog's grub off...

About a week after it was despatched by airgun fire, we saw a similar one on Antiques Roadshow go for about 1200 quid

Odd use of possessive pronouns there mate. I'd have expected them the other way around really. :-)

I bought a new light bulb for the bathroom today and decided to go with a more expensive energy saving one. Well about 3 for a 60W equivalent, so less than I had anticipated.
Got home, took it out, went to bathroom and put it down whilst climbing on the toilet to undo the lamp and BLAM fucker rolls off and breaks.

:-(

Can't recall anything proper expensive I've broken. Must've ruined a thing or two in my day though.

I would have to say the most expensive thing i've ever broken.... is a Kitchen sink, work surface and cooker top, a large amount of tiles and paint. not to mention covering the entire house in soot.

It really is quite simple. Long and the short of it is...

I accidently set the kitchen on fire.

The amazing part of it, we eventually got the fire under control before the fire brigade turned up (with a little help from the local pub), but stupidly forgot to close the doors in the house (to prevent soot damage). The following week we (myself and the friend involved) were praised for our quick thinking in the local rag. does it matter that we started the damn thing? na... :)

Oh we did manage to get 2 Fire engines and 3 ambulances out. Probably because the house in question was a mid terrace.

Its my son.. not ours (the aatg collective), and I 'shared' the PSP with him. Although you're probably right and I'm just shit at English grammar.. =)

It's a good idea though - AATG could adopt a baby and teach it all we know. It'll either be a God or in the "special" classes at school. :oP

I've never broken anything of any real value unless you include a motherboard burning out.

He just meant people often refer to their children as 'our' meaning 'mine and my partner's'.
