I've got a friend's laptop here; toshiba Satellite Pro100 with a BIOS password on it that stops it booting. I hear there's some manner of parallel port dongle required to get rid of it.

Anyone any idea where I could get this thing? Everywhere I've phoned hasn't been much help, most of them never having heard of the thing.

PS. Taking the battery off the board doesn't help apparently as the password is stashed away on some groovy Tosh security chip.

It appears to be available on eBay. It should work on a Satellite notebook unless it has only USB ports, according to this guide (also from eBay).
