I don't have a 360. Does that count?

That depends - would you have bought it if you did?

If I had a 360 I probably would have bought it, although I didn't think much of the first two. Which makes no sense at all I know.

Put me in the "Don't have a 360, wouldn't have bought anyway it if i did." camp.

I'd have waited for a while like i did with the other two. I'm an old-school PC gamer so Halo is a good FPS game for a console but i've played much better PC ones and i'd rather play FPS games with kb/m.

I have played it a couple of times with friends and it's ok but it hasn't really grabbed me yet and i'm waiting to find out if the story is gash before i put it on my list of games for 360 when/if i buy one.

I don't yet have a 360, but if I did I'd definitely buy it. Looks like a lot of fun to me. However, there's lots of other games that are ahead of it in the queue, so I probably won't buy it until I've got those.

The 360 really does look very attractive.

Nope. Not I.
Of course I have no 360. Might have if I did.

I did, but I didn't *buy into it*, if you see what I mean.

I had a few games to trade in, so I caved and bought it. Tried it for literally all of fifteen minutes...

It's just Halo again, isn't it? And the start of the campaign is a bit... uninspired. In fact no, make that very uninspired.

I'm hoping it's a bit of a grower? Because up till now I'm not feeling the love. An admittedly brief play confirmed that - yes - Bungie HAVE fucked up the widescreen split screen coop, and - no - the graphics aren't THAT good. The biggest shock though? The framerate. Not rock solid. Not rock solid at all. And that's one thing I DID expect.

To conclude then: you lot in here who don't have it, and wish you did, take it from me: you aint missing that much.

Disclaimer: The writer of this mini-"review" would state that there is a very real possibility of him coming back in here with a "WOO-FUCKING-HOO, the second fifteen minutes of Halo 3 ROCKS!!!!!" type post, were it not for the fact that they fucked up the multiplayer coop split scree - oh, he mentioned that already.

No 360 here and I never played the second one. So, after having recently replayed the original again and being freshly reminded of why I didn't really rate it, it would have been a 'no' for me anyway.

Being a primarily PC gamer the series has always pretty much passed me by and I can't say I'm genuinely curious about #3.

If the internet became aware of this thread we'd be marked men, doomed i tell you, doomed.

What's wrong with the Widescreen co-op, Stevas? I've played a bit and it seems ok. What have i missed?

I will admit that I'm having more fun playing through the second time on Heroic, even though I'm dying much more frequently. I'm not sure if it's something to do with the AI or due to me being able to concentrate on the game instead of working out what's going on, but it's feeling less of a trudge. But yes, it's still only Halo.

Ah, I forgot the rather important inclusion of the words "split-screen". Apologies.

No 360 (yet) but if I had one I'd probably have bought Halo 3 for the MP alone. Played number two on MP a good bit and loved it. Couldn't get all the way through the campaign though, got bored.

Only on level three. If you get bored in co-op mode then use the sticky grenades on the other person.

Hours of fun :oD
