It's ain't bad!

Blades seem faster, the new Marketplace design makes more sense to me than the previous version, and Xbox Originals are available; with free themes & gamerpics! o/

Not sure about mixing together Arcade games and Demos, mind. But that's easily sorted with a tap to the right.

Oh, and Divx works well on some eps of Pushing Daisies I had on an SD card :)

Do the blades still tear horribly and slow your games down to unplayable levels once used in-game?

I'm still amazed MS has done this, I don't see what it gains them.

Unless they want the dodgy downloaded TV market! Makes the need for XBMC quite a bit less now, I just need a big HD telly.

Oh and my 360 back. :-P

Yeah, when Sony started supporting x264 (in the VOB container) there was only really one type of person it was going to benefit

Not that I've seen.

And the slow access of blades ingame was 90% because of Live access and trying to get data rather than the system itself. I know when my ISP's up the swanny when the blades are horrible to use, then I'd get the 'Disconnected from live' message and everything is amazingly fast again :)

Actually, meant to say: the blades seem to slide much faster than before.

The new update is excellent, it signs me into live but then disconnects me whenever I attempt to switch blades and marketplace doesn't work at all.

I had to wait ages for marketplace to load up the first time I used it, but it's fine now.

And I couldn't find demos for ages - my theme lowlights the options at the top of the blades.

But it seems fine.

Quite impressed with the new layout for marketplace.

The video streaming worked pretty well to, which was actually the first time this has worked for me. It did buffer a few times during one for the videos, but I guess this might be down to my wireless router's speed.

I thought this update was going to make all the XBLA demo's disappear from your achievements. Perhaps this is only works from now on :(

Am I going nuts or has the update done something to the drive noise, I was just playing FIFA and it seemed a quieter than before.

It seem like it's not wizzing at full speed any more, maybe my 360 is on the wayout.

EDIT: Looks like it was just my imaginations still hair driering away.

I'm very pleasantly surprised the Divx/Xvid streaming from my PC all works so easily :-D
Still, I only gave it a quick gander so it might be all kinds of buggered up when I try to watch a whole film... but it seems like this update could be one of the most useful I've seen :-)

PS - the "friends of friends" list is also pretty handy for lonlely bastards like me who haven't added too many people to their own list - means it's a lot easier for me to cyber-stalk my way to finding a decent game/server on Live ;-)

The "voice from friends only" setting is about the best thing on the privacy settings though!

Bloody lovely to be able to filter out all the yanks and other cuntwads in COD4 lobbies now.

Is that Voice or 'all communication apart from Friend Requests'?

The new dash design is definately better, even though my videos still look a little messy despite them group all the Halo & Orange Box stuff I've still got on there into folders.

Played Mass Effect and then slipped in a thumbdrive with the latest Heroes on and watched that; excellent :)

I watched 9 episodes of Samurai Champloo that I had burnt to DVD aaaages ago, last night. The media update was a bit weird because you have to re-download the iPod update for the divx decoder.
