I currently travel a fair bit and was wondering what suggestions you would have for games which are laptop battery friendly and don't need to have a working internet connection. Making me look sophisticated and skilful to the attractive person sitting behind me would be an added advantage (though very doubtful).

There's always a crafty wank under a copy of the free newspaper.

I was hoping to use the sophisticated air created by my previous activity to persuade the attractive female to help out.

Close, but just that bit further.

I think playing games on your laptop is unlikely to get attractive fellow travellers particularly interested.

Not sure what sort of games you're after though - are we talking sudoku/poker, or more actiony type stuff ? In which case - MAME.

Have to go with Minesweeper.

Or something like Neo Turf Masters on MAME (along with a fuck-ton of other stuff on MAME).

I was thinking of similar things to N+

I have to say ebooks are a good idea.

Does Vista throw up any big issues with emulators? The damn thing has been trying to install SP1 for weeks and always fails. Driving me mad.
