They want to censor you before you even say "Fuu..."

Surely this is going to just create ways to get round swears? And what else are they going to deem acceptable language? Are they going to blank me if I start talking about PDF files? ;-)

It'd be great if this worked like the censoring in GTA SA where certain words are automatically replaced with non-offensive alternatives.

Hmm. So this system 'recognises key words and renders them “unintelligible or inaudible”. I thought Live already did that to all voice comms. I didn't realise it was a feature.

they really need to do more than just make it inaudible though, especially as it seems to be talking about racial slurs etc, not just swear words. it should replace what the person said with comments back about them. bloke says "you fucking gay nigger" it should say "i want to be penetrated roughly by a big black man" in a very effeminate voice and so on :)

How many languages would this cover incidentally? Sales of the book titled "swearwords in over 50 languages" could go through the roof. I imagine it would at least make live a bit more colourfully mixed.
