There were so many bargains over Christmas I just kept buying and buying. Bit silly, as I simply don't have time to play them :D

Anyway, lying under the TV, all unplayed and some still unwrapped are:

Ninja Gaiden 2 (12)
Lost Odyssey (10)
Siren: Blood Curse (15)
Prince of Persia (17)
PES 08 (2 LOL)

Probably others I've forgotten about too!

None. :)
I didn't get any games for Christmas and haven't bought a game since September last year. (Not counting Wipeout which I got two weeks ago.)

Far Cry 2 is the only one I haven't touched yet, I bought it for myself for 17 before christmas.

At christmas I started Prince of Persia, LBP, Fallout 3 and reactivated my WoW account for Wrath of the Lich King, and I was already in the middle of playing Fable 2, Gears 2 and Dead Space before that!

Fallout 3 and WoW have risen to the top and I'm spending what little time I have with those, but I put a lot of time into PoP at christmas (must... resist... rant..).

Thing is I still keep buying stuff. Picked up the collectors edition of Age of Conan for a fiver a couple of weeks ago, and just bought Eye Of Judgment last week.

I didn't get any games for Christmas and haven't bought a game (for myself, buying em for kids is a different matter) since fuck knows when. i think that all the games i got last year were blagged from peej after he'd reviewed em :)

Hm, Burnout Paradise, that's a point...picked it up a few months back and barely touched it. Just not feeling very tempted by it at all.

I keep meaning to go back to it.

Technically, I guess the only game I bought last year that seriously got spurned was NFS and I don't think I can cope with the abject SHAME of playing that again and being caught doing so.

I tried the BP demo, and... I don't know, all that faffing about in the city, finding your own routes and shortcuts, repairing cars when damaged etc. felt at odds with a series that's always been about pure speed and thrills. Seemed like a near-instant purchase a few weeks ago, now I'm not so sure (in fact, I could have picked it up for a tenner just after Christmas, but went with PGR4 instead).

Also: no unopened games from Christmas! I tend to avoid falling for bargains, no matter how tempting, especially if I'm in the middle of another game. But, alas, there are a few from previous years that I've still got to get round to.

You don't have to repair your car, though. :)

I had it on PS3 but never got into it due to other things, so I sold it before it plummeted in value.

I'm still to start seriously on Burnout Revenge as well, but it's next in the queue.

Be interesting to see how you get on with BP, it just didn't gel with me. So much love poured into it by others but I felt left out of the party.

I preferred Burnout before it went all sandboxey. As Kay said, all that having to work out the best routes between checkpoints and a necessity to really "learn" Paradise City, meant that it pretty much stopped feeling like Burnout. All that free DLC was good though, kudos to Criterion for that.

Burnout Revenge was ace though on 360. Well recommended if you can pick up a copy el-cheapo.

my expectation is that the feelgood factor will hit once I've learned enough of the city to not need the map. Like all open world games really.

I quite enjoyed the demo once I'd done this. I think there's an extra level of enjoyment to be gained from knowing the best route without big floating arrows and invisible walls pointing the way.

Much like Midnight Club 2 really.

Gear of War 2 was sat unopened because I just wanted to finish the last few bits of Bully. Then yesterday I got Rock Band 2 which went in straight away so gears is still sat there unplayed.

Did you play the original?

If so, you're not missing much :)

Gears is just the gaming equivalent of a Michael Bay film really.

The whole situation hasn't been helped by spending a crazy amount of time on the excellent air traffic chaos on the DS. Although playing it before bed isn't a good idea as I woke up in a cold sweat the other night after an atc related dream.

Mirrors Edge is the only game I got this year. I'm miles behind on my games again - last night was the first time since before Christmas I'd had the 360 on to actually play a game (rather than stream music).

Mirror's Edge, Yakuza 2, Shadow of the Colossus, Oblivion GOTY, Guitar Hero Aerosmith.

We've converted to a single income household in the past month so I *have* to make the games I have last ;-)

None this year, LBP level creation had me so engrossed it never occurred to me to buy anything else. Last year Uncharted and UT3 didn't get played until well into January.

If I'd had a regular income stream and didn't need to save money to change my car I would have bought Motorstorm Pacific Rift, Tomb Raider Underworld and Prince of Persia... and not be playing them.

I've got:

Zack and Wiki (15, but from about 6 months ago!)
Manhunt 2 (Wii) (8.77)
Lego Indiana Jones/Kung Fu Panda double pack (12.99)
Mass Effect (10)
Midnight Club LA (Xmas present)
Me and My Katamari (4.50 from Zavvi)

Since also grabbing Pure, Banjo Kazooie and Mirror's Edge and spending far too much time on Fifa, the rest just haven't had a look in.

I'm never going to play all of these am I?
