Ace! Loads of it round here in Leeds. Last time it did this it took me 2.5 hours to get to work on the bus, as the hill I live at the top off gets closed off easily.

So the question now is, do I walk (1.5-2 hours) or cycle (dangerous on road tyres) or do I call Rince and see if he can let me work from home?

Love it!

Wasn't too bad here, I think we were just on the fringe. Even so, it made a nice change to see people driving at less than 70mph on the 30mph roads on the way to work :)

Got about 3-4 inches here in Snowdonia. Not sure if it'll last the day.

You'd think it was "The day after tomorrow" the number of people who have called in to say they'll be late/won't make it.

My car ended up sideways on the roundabout outside my flat this morning. Serves me right for wanting to find out what happens when you put your foot down in a rear wheel drive car in a couple of inches of snow. :)

Similar here. Our head of section is running around like an angry bull this morning moaning about "the usual suspects skiving"

Well not entirely, he's in - he skived off the last time we had snow!

Yep, no work for me today... waited half an hour for a bus before being told they were all suspended in London. Didn't realise it was going to be that bad, tbh.

Looks absolutely beautiful though, needless to say.

Well unless we get a cold snap soon i can't see this snow lasting much into the afternoon as the sun's already breaking out.

Just started to snow again here in Nottingham...and no sign of the sun.

Now the prospect of getting stuck at work is starting to haunt me. :(

My part of Hampshire is completely stuffed, I couldn't get my car off its parking space even if I really wanted to, the snow is so deep.

Not seen anything like it here in my entire life.

Live is surprisingly quiet though so some people are obviously at work!

grumble grumble grumble

From my 12th floor office a vista of snow dusted rooftops presents itself to me. Further down is the brown slush of traffic sullied snow, through which I had to trudge to get here.

The forecast says it will snow again tonight or tomorrow morning. Won't be nearly enough to keep me out of the office though sadly.

Enjoy the free time

Wow, but did it have to be the Torygraph? :)

I hope no-one gets hurt in the erruption or aftermath. Seems that the local authorities are pretty much on the ball though, no?

Yeah I'm in Aldershot. One of my colleagues attempted to drive in to our Ashford site (near Heathrow not the Kent one) from Ash Vale this morning and wasn't making an awful lot of progress so ended up turning around.

To show how much snow I got I present a picture of my bins that I took at 7:40AM, the bin men still haven't turned up either! There's a lot less snow on my bins now though, not through it melting but the local kids using it as ammo.

/tuts and write letter of complaint to the council about lazy bin men

It's been raining here this afternoon so most of the snow has gone again.

@ Neko: You mean you work in the games industry and don't take a sleeping bag to work?! :)

Just picked up my eldest from school and it is covering fast - if you're still at Long Eaton its only a few miles from there so maybe a swift (but controlled) exit would be best!
