I've have two month holidays (July-August) and really need to get out of this place for a change as I haven't been anywhere else since last September (excluding a few days in Germany).
Problem is I'm a poor student now, so I can't fly half-way around the earth again. So does anyone on here now some nice affordable places? I was thinking about Israel/Middle East, but don't really know what to do there. I don't really care where I go as long as the place is beautiful.

Alternatively, does anyone want to offer me a little job for a few weeks during that time so I can earn the money for my travels while travelling? ^_^

:D

I think I'm the wrong person for that, but I could spread some common sense there. :)

Hitch hike to Eastern Europe. Free transport, bit of an adventure + once you're there it's fairly cheap food/drink wise.
Stay in hostels or whereever you are offered hospitality.

A friend and me hitch hiked to Italy and back (quite a few summers ago no /0) and it was great!
Met some nice people along the way. Got to spend an entire weekend with one chap that gave us a lift. Absolutely recommend it.

If I had no ties, and the money to do it I'd go back to New Zealand. In a month and a bit we saw quite a lot of it, but in 2 months I could quite comfortably see all the bits I missed!

Hitch hiking is a good idea, but I'm not sure I want to do it on my own and I don't think I can find anyone who would be up for it. Lazy friends. ;(

NZ would be my holiday target number one. Would love to go back there.
