How long's it been out now? Two years? Well a colleague of mine had a Wii party yesterday and I finally got to have a play; a bit of archery, some tennis, skiing, karting, shooting zombies and way too much Rabid Rabbids.

It's quite fun, innit? :D

I still haven't touched a Wii and only seen one in action for about 2 minutes. :)

Raving rabbits is awesome!
Not sure what the archery is about though.

it's all I play these days. HD consoles are repeating the same content for the third time around now. Wii games are shit but least they're not the same thing over and over again.

I have to admit, Sunday evening I was all up for buying a Wii of my own (until I saw the price, that is). But in the cold light of day, I seem to recall that most of you guys bemoan the fact that it doesn't get played as much as you'd like. Is that still the case?

Oh, and the archery was some thing with Link that I think came with the gun attachment...

The Wii has been getting a little bit more love this year than last. Just picked up Family Ski and Snowboard. Now THAT'S how you do an SSX-alike on the Wii. Not the way EA did it.

S'very good, very physical if you use the Wii Fit board too - actually about as close as you can get to proper snowboardy-type action in your living room. It's wrapped in a candy-like bubble of kawaii cuteness but underneath that there is actually a very solid and pleasing game.

as peej says, it seems to be ramping up ever so slightly this year. If you've held off until now then there is probably plenty to keep you occupied. It probably seems a little empty if you've had it since launch, but with two years of backlog it might be aok. Depends if you fancy anything of course (don't forget WiiWare!)!

Well, I'd certainly like to play Super Mario Galaxy and De Blob, irrespective of the motion tracking shenanigans. Other than that, it would just be nice to play something with the missus for a change...

In some ways, the same is true of the PS3. I'd love to have a go at LBP and Wipeout has always been a huge favourite of mine. I just find it hard to justify the cost/hassle for only a couple of games.

funny you should mention your other half, part of my enthusiasm recently is down to playing quite a bit of mariokart and animal crossing with mine. Local multi really is superior, easily worth compromising on title selection for.

Anyone with a Wii, owes it to themself to play World of Goo. It's staggering.
