So I just paid 240 for 4 new tyres. Michelin Energy tyres to be exact.

Prices seem to vary hugely, but they seemed like a bit of a bargain (from COSCO if you can believe it).

He could be blowing smoke up my arse, but he said they were the cheapest for those type in the entire UK?!

It's only for a Yaris and they are not sports tyres or anything like that.

So is that a reasonable price? How much do your tyres cost (and do you think it's worth the money?).

Should I have (and does anyone actually) researched this more? No such thing as a 'shit' tyre right?

Oh and they are WELL fucking quiet compared to the old ones (2 years old - but fucked).

I put Michelin pilot exaltos on my puma and they are a fantastic tyre, very good in the wet. If you like to take the odd corner a bit faster than normal it's good to have tyres you can be confident will keep you between the hedges! My front ones will need replaced very soon but reckon I have got about 27000 miles out of them which is amazing.

I had to slap a new pair of Goodyear Eagle-F1s on my Merc on Saturday, 111 quid each, I was actually expecting worse as 17" rims aren't exactly a regualr size. To my surprise when looking in the boot for a locking wheel-nut adapter, I found the car doesn't have locking wheel nuts. I think I'd better get some.

I have these on my MX-5 and they're a fantastic tyre; mine only cost about 60 each though (for 15" rims). :D

Yes, strange how the price jumps, I had the same tyres in 16"s on my FIAT and they were 104 a pop. I was going to for Pirelli's this time, but I didn't have much choice as I got a puncture and the nearest garage only had F1s or some cheapies called "Hero" or something. I don't begrudge the money, as they do grip like a bastard, as long as it's not icy or snowy.

Costco are the cheapest (in my experience) for Michelin tyres. Whenever I need new tyres I hit the web to get the best prices (blackcircles are generally the cheapest). If I need a tyre urgently (if I've got a flat) then I'll get the best price online and get Kwik Fit to price match.

I am very glad to hear about etyres.co.uk, I am so pleased that I will make sure I never say another sentence without mentioning etyres.co.uk, I may even make forum accounts for no other purpose than mentioning etyres.co.uk, that's how much I like etyres.co.uk
