I recently availed myself of one of those Sony Readers that Play are near enough giving away ATM (e ink is witchery I tell you) and I'm currently using Calibre to put all my ebooks on it. I'm shoving all my favouritest books ever on but have come unstuck- has anyone got an electronic copy of Robert Rankins book of ultimate truths? Its the first tupp and murphy book and I cannae find it :(

Aye. Tis a thing of durable beauty.

I've spent ten years reading ebooks on PDA's and that is in a completely different league.

I've toyed with getting one for all the whitepapers and training books on PDF.

It does read PDF format right?

Out of all the readers, the sony one is the poorest at pdf reproduction IIRC. Piccies dont really get across the size, its only as big as a dvd case and no thicker.

I think the Iliad is supposed to be better for PDF's but thats a small fortune.

I've been lying on my side at nights reading War of the Worlds (again!) on my iphone.

Seems pretty normal, but in the old days when I used to type in poke codes into my spectrum it would have been pretty amazing!

My wife has an e-reader as well. It's amazing how that e-ink thing works. It really is as clear as ink on paper, no need for front or rear lighting. Incredible.

It's not a scientific breakthrough though, its pure witchcraft :) Waterstones are doing the nightlight case half price at £17.50 atm.
