OpenTTD is the transport daddy. You'll need the original Transport Tycoon Deluxe files for it to work, though.

It takes TTD and improves and adds to the funtionality as well as supporting higher resolutions, higher object caps, bigger maps and better pathfinding. It also supports add-on content which can be downloaded via an in-game client giving access to new graphics, vehicles, maps, scenarios and even AI.

It totally trumps Locomotion which is a TT game built on the Rollercoaster Tycoon engine. The only thing it Locomotion has that OpenTTD doesn't is the advanced road/rail construction tools for tunneling and stacking your routes. OpenTTD's improvements far outstrip that though.
