Oh I can picture them but can't remember the name of them. Really cheap they were too.

I know the ones, and in fact they still sell them in Marks and Spencers (but they're just called Lattices there)

Still prawn cocktail flavour too.

Oh god, that forum reminded me about Ringos. I think I remember the Cheese and Onion ones being responsible for me not getting a snog off Tara Wilcox in infants school when I was a grubby little street urchin living in London.

She wouldn't snog me because I'd just eaten a bag of those.

Dang.

The other crisps that stick in my mind are Good 'n' Crunchy crisps. Weird wholewheat things, the salt and vinegar ones tasted like they were coated in caustic soda and battery acid but they were still addictive.

My favourites were Really Ruthless crisps, sold in the mid-90s.

A crisp I remember from the early 90's was vindaloo flavour from Phileas Fogg. They were kind of a cross between a tortilla chip and a poppadom and my word, they were awesomely hot! I was only about 9 or 10 at the time, but when I'd go over to stay at my sister's, her then boyfriend and I would happily munch through a bag whilst playing on his SNES :)

I can only assume that because they were so fierce, they were too hot for the general snack eating population and thus got discontinued. I long for the day that they might make a triumphant return :)

I used to like the Phineas Fogg corn chips. A little bit nicer and spicier than standard tortillas. Can't bloody find 'em anywhere now though.

Waitrose's huge bags of wasabi flavoured corn snacks are ace though

Ah - that's the one I was thinking of after reading the OP (which doesn't exactly make sense now after the thread title change). I loved those back in the day (i.e. the 90s).

Thread title approved.

Now answer my question bitches.

This is being used as a "no seriously, forums are really useful" example for my fiance. She doubts the hive mind of the nerd collective :-o

I wasn't complaining, it just made Furbs look a little silly. :)

I blame Bill entirely :)

He made me do it, he's controlling my mind with a helmet made out of an old collander
