The eyes of mankind has decided to leave their hosts and take over the earth. Their first move was to escape to the moon, where they developed their hostile weapon technology. Ten years later they return and forcefully take over some prominent countries in Asia. Thailand and New Korea has both succumb to the hostile threat, while China insists on dealing with the eyes themselves and refuses any helping hands from around the world.

America sends a pair of pilot twins with extroardinary sixth senses to battle against the evil eyes. They both have designed their own space ships that seems to be about the only thing in existance that can be used to battle these terrible fiends.

Linky

This is a shmup-dev Autofire 2007 competition entry by Cactus. I quite liked it. The mechanics are modern and interesting. The style is great too, all those guys without eyes. Good stuff.

I also tried out Force Majeure from the same competition (Linky), which has awesome art and is OK to play. Very traditional.

Force Majeure has very SNK artwork, unless I'm seeing things, which is great.

The other one looks like it would break my face (difficult, not ugly).

It's not nearly as hard as Linky.

The artwork in Force Majeure is very SNK yes. I think that's the intent. It's really well done.

I hoped it was. Sometimes I see things in artwork that really aren't there, and end up suggesting that my sister's art college friends are producing homages to little known hentai artists.

As for that other link, it did indeed bifurcate me. Mind wobbling.

I tried playing it as a stereogram, you know? It didn't work.

Heh.

It was weird, I did get the feeling that you could get used to which side of the screen needed just that little bit more attention at certain times, but I was never going to put enough effort in to find out.

I .. erm .. can't quite get my head around Clean Asia. OK I'll be honest and just ask HOW DOES IT WORK??

Force Majeure on it's way down now.

Thank you for reminding me about this place by the way, I forgot to book mark it last time I was there.

You're welcome.

Clean Asia works like this. Pilot 1, let's call him, as I've forgotten their names already. No, let's call him Crossed Patches. He power charges through enemies, through them! Mind! And then collects the pieces and uses them as ammo.

Pilot 2, Spectacle Patches, he does the usual firing bullets routine, although when the enemy explodes you can collect the bits and when you have 100 use a special weapon. there's also a charge weapon for this pilot.

Neither pilot has eyes.

Ahh, so the power charge for pilot one must make it all the way through an enemy to do any damage? I kept trying to hit the fucker but exploding on impact.

I did have more luck with pilot 2 - but by Odin's Raven is it tough!

I'll give it another go.
