OK, I thought we needed a thread like this.

Yesterday I picked up a mint (I mean still sealed) crystal xbox for 20 with an extra pad and 10 games.

I am over the moon!!!! :-)

Just need to put in a 320gb hard disc and soft mod it.

Why the fuck do I never see video game stuff at car boot sales? When I do it's always over-priced PS2 games.

I once saw a boxed Virtua Cop and lightgun for Saturn, I was so excited at seeing anything remotely interesting so I bought it - I don't even have a Saturn!

Nice find you got yourself there, Ace :)

I think the only game related car boot sale item I've brought was a dodgy GBA rom cart that supposedly had 100 or so games on it for 3. Which was 3 wasted, as the darn thing wouldn't even load the menu screen.

Just went into Gamestation and purchased Splinter Cell for 99p (required for soft mod), and a few other choice xbox titles.

Only videogame find of any worth I ever spotted at a car boot sale was an old vectrex. I nearly bought it on the spot but it was just the unit, no joypads and the bloke selling it didn't seem to know what it was nor whether it worked or not so I bailed. Probably should've grabbed it and fixed it up.

I used to swap all my SNES games at the local car boot sales. Used to love it. Never seen any bargains though.

Phew that's OK then...!

It's depressing to think that even a mint sealed copy of RSC2 is probably only worth a couple of quid.

I have a few games I'm happy to part with. Keeping my softmodded Xbox for emulation but there's a few (good) games I'd be happy to post on.

Drop me an email to daniel.morton at the google mail place and I'll sort something out

If anyone would like to softmod my XBOX for me (I haven't a clue how to do it) I'd be very grateful!

I would have sent you the stuff and instructions but the last person I did that for ended up losing it all so I no longer have it to send :-(

Arse. That's rubbish. If they didn't send it recorded I wouldn't have been a happy bunny, I must admit.

Someone sent me the stuff once (I can't remember who, it was about three years ago now) with the worst instructions I have ever seen. I tried, got confused, then got paranoid I was going to bork the XBOX that my wife bought me for Christmas and that she would go ape at me, so I backed out and didn't do it.

I have the urge to play Super Tennis though. I have the box, the manual, and the SNES to play it on, but sadly also the smashed cartridge that my brother stood on as we cleared out my Mum & Dad's loft. :o(

(and some C64 games I still have but can't play now. And Amiga.../sigh)

I'll have a root around and see if I can find my kit and fool proof instructions next time I'm in the loft.
