Anyone got this yet?

I picked up the Limted Edition last night but haven't played it yet (having too much fun on F1).

Does anyone know if I should play case zero before this?

Case Zero will allow you to level up to 5 and gain some combo cards before the main event but if you've already got DR2 there's probably not much point buying it now. It is nice and cheap though.

I'm awaiting my regular version of DR2 from Tesco Online, it was ordered over a year ago when they were doing a lot of pre-orders for slightly less than 28 quid so I double ordered it with Il-2. I don't normally pre-order that far in advance but it has rather slipped.

Good weekend of gaming ahead of us with this and F1. September is turning out to be a surprisingly awesome month innit?

Been playing through this and here's a few initial impressions...

1) Damned save system isn't any different but at least there are a few more places to take a piss in Fortune City

2) On the 360 version, the load / save system seems to have gone back to the dark ages. It's painfully slow. No idea why, but it seems to take a good minute or so to sort its shit out whenever you're saving or loading a game. Multiple save slots are welcome though

3) Is it just me or are the graphics marginally worse than Dead Rising 1? Loads more character repetition (that's just purely lazy shit making the three looters exactly the same bar their weapons), framerates are OK, no tearing but things do look a lot rougher particularly during cutscenes (probably largely due to the cutscenes being in-engine to ensure Chuck's natty dress and floppy hat combo stays put during the talky bits)

4) Lots of titillation :)

5) Could just be me again but the psychos seem a bit more cut and paste this time. Couldn't the team come up with a better bunch of stereotypes than loopy rednecks?

6) A couple of nasty game-breaking bugs. Saving mid-mission can sometimes completely bugger up Chuck's interaction with important objects (like lifts). If you're daft enough to only use the one save slot without backing up what you do, there's the potential to completely screw the game up meaning you have to start again. Not ideal at all.

Anyone want to review this for us?

I really want to play it but need to finish off with GH:WoR and F1 first. Not enough hours.

As I said, I'd love to but I'm not finished and it takes bloody ages due to the "real time" aspect of it.

And now F1's turned up, not a hope!

If someone wants to lend it (DR2) to me to review (I'll obviously send it back) I'm happy to cover it.

Could probably turn it around in a week or so.

Is the AATG F1 review going to be one that reflects the short-term glitz or will it be one that comments on the complete b0rkedness that seems to be making itself apparent?
