Can't wait for this one, and it's out next week on XBLA and PSN. But look at this lovely set of dolls. I want them and I've not even played the sodding game yet! |

Oh, it's for PSN too? When I watched the quick look on GiantBomb I thought it was only for XBox. Nice, it looks like a fun game. Any word on the price yet? |

I really wanted those dolls too but they're extremely hard to get hold of. I have a really neat set at home that are russian presidents (as far up as Boris Yeltsin). Russian dolls rock. |

It's 1200 on the Xbox I think, usually works out to about 15 quid for PS3 I think? |

Durn. Wonder if the lovely THQ will provide us with a couple of codes if we sweet-talk the lovely Becky... |

I hate those little Russian dolls... I think it's because they're so full of themselves. |

To say you can't log in to the site properly you're fairly prolific today RMJ. :D |

This probably sounds a bit bonkers but for some reason, the gameplay reminds me of a cross between Paradroid and ancient Shiny Entertainment game Messiah. The art style is just utterly lovely though. Loved the sashaying mermaid chick! |

I reckon all those porn sites / visits to altavista have hosed his machine :) |

The project lead is Lee Petty, the same guy who worked on Brutal Legend, so it's bound to be a bit good. |

One thing Double Fine always get right (in my book) is their art direction - but then again when you think about Schafer's heritage, and the sort of team he builds around himself, it's no bloody wonder the games always look so weird / ace. Still absolutely in love with the art direction on Grim Fandango. I think if I lived with a big fat goth chick instead of my missus, I'd have the whole house decorated in Manny Calavera stylee |

Probably about the only good reason to bother with a Playstation Plus account. You get a free copy of Stacking early! I think the game costs about $15 - not sure how much the cheapest sub to Plus is, but if it's a tenner for a month or something like that, it'll be worth doing just to get hold of Stacking on the cheap. |

I'm not allowed on PSN any more :D /Plays some more CAVE shooters. |

I speculatively signed up to the service not expecting much but I've actually been really impressed at the amount of content they throw your way. |

Is this going to be another disappointment to join Brutal Legend and Costume Quest? |
|||
| |||
So is 'Live' on PS3 now officially not free anymore? |
|||
| |||
Yeah, online play is still free, plus just gives you extra stuff I think. Whizzo, don't you diss Costume Quest, girlfriend! |

HairyArse said:So is 'Live' on PS3 now officially not free anymore? No, PSN, online play, Lovefilm, Vidzone, Internet, PS3Youtube, Qriocity, Home, video chat and voice chat etc etc are all free (although you need separate subs for Lovefilm and Qriocity). Playstation Plus is a bit of a "lucky bag" rental service of sorts. They throw about 8-12 games (PSN, PS1 and Minis) at you each month and for as long as you keeping paying the subscription you get to keep adding more and more to your collection. They also fix the PS3 patching so that updates to games and the OS are downloaded in the background or while you're not even around. As I said, I signed up to it totally speculatively back in November but I've been really impressed with it and I'm definitely going to keep paying. With a cheap PSN card it works out way cheaper than the £40 a year too. So far in the last 6 months they've given away (and this list excludes the bad stuff): Little Big Planet WipeOut HD Sam & Max Season 3 All the Fallout DLC Zen Pinball Abes Exoddus Shatter Cuboid Critter Crunch Lead & Gold Stacking |

I think Plus would be worth it if it wasn't so sporadic. I would struggle to get my money's worth out of it, though I'm fairly interested in giving the 90 day versh a go just to ream the store for some of the free goodies. Doubt I'd keep it as a permanent registration though. Too much of a stigma attached to that little gold plus symbol against your nick :) |

Anyone seen the new Admiral Insurance ads? What a rip off! |

So is this double-fine then!? |
|||
| |||
Aye, only done the first bit so far, but it's so utterly charming you can't not love it. |
|||
| |||
Good to hear. I've got it queued but it's probably going to take the rest of the week to download. |
|||
| |||
Even I rather liked it, not that I'm buying it until it goes cheap in a sale as I've already got too many things to play at the moment. |
|||

Those are ace. Need to try the demo of this. |
|||

Played the demo. Fell instantly in love with the graphical style. Quite liked the gameplay but it seems to be a fairly simple 'go here, do this, fetch that, bring it back here' game under the delicious skin. Umming and ahhing over splashing out the points on it but really did love the way it looks. |
