Get it here.

You get everything from the main game except the campaign, HD graphics and support for user made mods.

Mission editor is intact and you can play any user created scenarios. It is also fully network compatible with the retail version.

Could be a bit of fun for you PC fps fans ;-)

I play the ARMA series with my old Planetside outfit (The Halibuts) and with the Rock Paper Shotgun crowd. I'm not entirely convinced giving away ARMA2 is the best idea, while a far superior game than it was at launch after a lot of patching and with the help of today's CPU and GFX cards it can still be frustratingly buggy compared to ARMA2:OA.

ARMA 2: Operation Arrowhead is BIS's take on Afghanistan, not only does the game look nicer and run smoother the terrain balances gameplay far better and you rarely, if ever, feel cheated by the AI an issue that happens a lot on the grassy hills of Chernarus, the ARMA2 map.

The only problem is getting to the fun is more complicated than your average game. An install for me would go: Install ARMA2 > Install ARMA2:OA > Run Combined Operations Script > Install British Forces AddOn > Install Private Military Company AddOn > Patch Combined Ops to 1.59 > Patch ARMA2 to 1.10 > Install Six Updater > Install A.C.E. 2.X & A.C.R.E from Six Updater > Install I.V.D & OktNoBlur manually.

Now what that gives me is one of the most awesome military sims ever made with a ton of detail, stunning graphics and unique, epic gameplay but in this console generation it's a hell of a lot harder than 'Press Start To Play'.

ARMA 3 will look to address all the faults of ARMA & ARMA2's releases while looking to improve on many of the cool things they've added to the game since its release.

[ahem] over waffle :D

I very much doubt many PC gamers don't already have TF2!
