It's awesome. That's all. |
| |||
Urgh, and so it begins... |
| |||
There's a certain game that's even better. Tetris. Tetris pisses all over your shitty CoD-piece, Modern Borefare. |
| |||
:D Where's the review? |
| |||
It's coming. |
| |||
I know you like CoD, but that's just gross! |
| |||
So anyone taking bets against this being the biggest game of the year by a comfortable margin? If casual gamespeak amongst non-gamer mates is anything to go by, it's going to sell like minge-flavoured battenburg. |
| |||
mmmmmmm minge flavoured battenburg.../drools |
| |||
It's gonna sell through the roof and rightly so. Say what you want about the game, and whether you're a fan or not, you can't deny it's value for money. With an epic single player campaign, the multiplayer, survival mode and Special Ops there's sooo much content. And that's before CoD: Elite. |
| |||
Define "epic". ;) |
| |||
I deny it's value for money. For the single player. The SP campaigns in COD games are piss poor. Like Battlefield 3, you'd have to be some sort of a mentalist to buy MW3 just for the single player campaign. |
| |||
It's spectacular. There's just so much going on around and you and the scale of some of the levels is immense. |
| |||
Its Independence Day in game form. Which is a good thing. I'm *that* sort of person that happily pay to see a Michael Bay "event" film at the cinema so I'm maybe its target audience. Course, on the Battlefield is where I'll spend more MP time, but I'm quite looking forward to the SP, now I'm fully caught up on the hype. Mind you, if it wasnt for the fact I've ended up with a second copy of Batman I can trade in for CoD for a tenner, I'd probably be less enthused. |

Loving the accusations of being bought out by Activision in the MW3 comments thread. I've just stirred things up a little potentially by claiming they paid me £35,000 for my 5/5 review. :D |
| |||
£25 at tesco direct if bought with £16.99 worth of MS or PSN points. And, whore that I am, I've caved. Fuck's sake. This, SR3 and Skyrim in one week. Will buy Uncharted 3 in the new year. |
| |||
SR3 is next week innit? |

I did have one amusing little thought about this game last night... What if Zumba 2 utterly destroys it in the charts in a week or so's time. That would be utterly utterly brilliant. It's unlikely I know, but if it doesn't do it before Christmas I bet it will afterwards. It most certainly did last year. |

You'll never guess who went to Tesco this morning and picked up the game and a 2100 point card. |
| |||
The Busta? :) |
| |||
Nah my colleague, who you don't know, Morné. I said you'd never guess. |
| |||
You will get it though...betcha. Either that or you're holding out for Zumba 2... :) |
| |||
Zumba and Just Dance 3 for me! |
| |||
Anyone else queue up for a midnight copy then? |

The comments on this article are hilarious. I'm an illiterate mong who was paid off by Activision, apparently. Where's my cheque? Meanwhile, Activision emailed me yesterday asking for me to take the review down until the embargo was lifted and wanted to know where I'd got my copy of the game. Unfortunately for them, due to the DNS issues resulting from our host transfer this week, I didn't actually receive the email until 30 minutes before the embargo was lifted. |
| |||
Embargo's don't count if you've not signed a NDA though surely? |
| |||
"Illiterate mong" is a bit much! "Blinkered fanboy", sure... :) Can't blame people for thinking reviews are paid for sometimes... especially when you pop over to EG and see the quality of reviews they're prepared to pay for. What? 8/10 on EG. DW review. Go figure. |

Does anybody use one of this to play on the PS3? My PC isn't up for the latest FPS and I want to play them (KZ2 and 3, BF BC and BC2, Black ops, Crysis 2, MW3, BF3, Rage... maybe even Skyrim...) so I'm thinking of buying this to play FPS on the PS3. I can't play FPS with the DS3 or the 360 pad even if my Life depended on it... :( |

The idea of embargoes on games reviews is idiotic anyway, the industry should have said no from the start (too late now). Only indies like you can go against this now. The worst they could ever do is not send you review copies (which I don't think they do) or send you a proper legal request to take it down (emails don't count IIRC) by which time any embargo will have passed. Absolutely no reason to have to tell them where you got it from either, although any response should be careful not to cause them ire. |
