f Projector Games carry on like this and get enough people on board, it could become something of an obsession. peej about FortressCraft Chapter 1: Creation |

No love for this? It's out Friday (according to Joystiq, which probably means Wednesday really because they never get release dates right). Looks rather good but I'm still split on whether to spunk my remaining MS points on it, or save 'em up for the next Trials game. |
|||
| |||
No, it is Friday. They seem to be releasing two games a week right now. |
|||
| |||
And only 800 points. Sold! |
|||
| |||
I'll probably pick it up once my Live points bought from MS's site show up. |
|||
| |||
I dunno. Hype on this is off the scale, and yet no one's played it. Looking at a couple of vids I can't see much to get excited about. (See also: Retro City Rampage.) Trials next week. No brainer. |
|||
| |||
I was under the impression that "someone" would have played it, since it's been at various events over the past bazillion months now. I've listened to hands on opinion from Giant Bomb, at least. The concept seems to come across fairly well in videos, anyway, as with a lot of puzzle-platformers (I'm aware that this isn't entirely what this is, but still). |

I just have flashbacks to Nebulous every time I see any Fez footage. |
|||
| |||
Trials next week? Oh well that's that decided then. Given the value I got out of the last Trials game there's no way it's not getting my points. |
|||

I'd love to play this on my PC on my big TV, via the common HDMI interface that many gaming PCs possess nowadays, using my wireless pad, sitting on my couch, on a Saturday morning. But apparently I'm not allowed to. |
|||
| |||
Life's unfair like that. I did wonder when this turned from an indie developed multi-platform thing into something seemingly locked to the 360 as an exclusive but hey ho... |
|||
| |||
I'd probably have bought it and stuck it on my enormous PC backlog, no skin off my nose really. Phil Fish is a fucking imbecile. |
|||

Getting good reviews, EG have just given it a 10. Could just be "indie darling" syndrome, though. |
|||
| |||
EG says 10! You're supposed to immediately love it, Frod! |

And the longer you play the slower it runs... it's been in development so long, can't we fix it before it's released? You know, for a fucking change. MS quality control is utter bullshit. |

Like Journey you mean? :) |

Like a lot of hyped "smaller" games. :) |
|||
| |||
I think it's probably "oh shit a slightly original game" syndrome. I remember when we used to get original games quite regularly. Good times. |
|||
| |||
anyway, I'm sure it's fun and I look forward to the inevitable PC version in 12 months time when the exclusivity agreement expires. |
|||
| |||
It's up. It's downloading. 273 MB. Miserablist impressions to follow. |
|||
| |||
273 mb?! Christ! That's smaller than the costume DLC for ME3 :) |
|||
| |||
Heh. Bought. It's really well done. :) |
|||
| |||
Uh oh. Ten minutes in and it's running like a dog! Stuttering and causing me to mis-time jumps. This needs patching. Urgently. You might want to save the MS points until it fucking works properly... |

Gah, That's a damned shame but makes the decision over my remaining points a little easier :) |

Was planning on getting it anyway (eventually), but the EG review does make it sound rather special, and different to what I was expecting. I'll now happily wait for it to get patched first, though. |

sounds like they put the extended development time to good use |
|||
| |||
Doesn't really seem to make much sense, has there been official word on the issue? |
|||
| |||
Hmm wonder if it's a 'new xbox vs old' issue, as I've heard described with a few other games. Surely not? Guess I'll find out later, at least if the demo lets you get that far. |
|||
| |||
The demo was fine. It seemed to clear up for a bit, and then came back with a venegance. And I'm far from alone. Quite a few grumbles about glitches and issues - and consoles crashing. (As usual.) |
