It's a competition on my blog, and judging by how blog-hosted comps go, it'll get very few entries since it requires to you write 150 words. People now days just want to leave their name to win something it seems.

Worth a punt, James Allen is picking the winner too.

Did you have a preference over which two of the nearly identical entries you'd prefer? :D

I entered twice? Didn't mean to. I think that was because of the login problems I had.

The second, longer one I think.

:D

Titty fucking shit I never posted my entrant. I've had it written for bloody ages, but couldn't access the site from work (blocked). Just remembered to submit it...three days past the entry date.

Goats. Cock. Suck. The.

Bugger, sorry dude. The shortlist is being judged by James Allen at the moment. Was hoping to have a result today but I think he's having his shoulders permed atm :(

My own fault. I had a real doozy as well (about it being Brawn's title win, and even included the quote Ross made about how those he'd had to unfortunately make redundant earlier in the year were just as crucial to the win as those still in employment was, and how grateful he was still to them), epitomising why the sport is more than just the driver's ability. And then I fuck it up. By forgetting to send it.

I'd written it in my lunch hour and tried to submit but they block the site at work, and just forgot in the evenings. I had that 'oh shit' moment today, checked the date, and then sulked for about...well, I'm still sulking actually. I'll time it when the sulk ends.

I've seen TV's James Allen with his reading glasses on. So I can picture him reading the entries and saying, "Lets have that Horne bloke as the winner, boy done good."

Well done Rich :D

I'm part very pleased for you Rich, and part wanting to hit you repeatedly with a spoon.

In all seriousness, beer and lunch would obviously be bought if that was the case.

It was nice to see Combat Colin (AKA Hairyarse) at the British GP yesterday. Didn't get to speak to him as he pegged it at speed after the race, presumably off to do some poaching, but I can report the quiff is as epic in real life as it appears in photos.

The camo gear was pretty impressive too :D

Ha. The quiff is recently trimmed so isn't even worth of the name at the moment.

As for the combat gear, that was just my snowboarding jacket. It was supposed to be a miserable day but was pretty nice after all of that.

If I'd known you were there mate I'd have stopped for a chat and a beer. We made for a hasty exist as we had park and ride tickets and didn't want to queue for hours!

As for the Grand Prix itself, it was certainly loud and I enjoyed the experience but watching on TV is far more enjoyable!

I disown you. :o)

I must admit, I've seen practice and thought it was far better in person than on the TV - perhaps it's an acquired taste.
