the few impressive moments involving mechs and power armour are pissed away in the sheer ridiculousness of the dialogue peej about Time Crisis: Razing Storm |

For me, Aliens Colonial Marines. Had it on pre-order and was feeling a sense of pre-emptive buyer's remorse a week before all the bad press hit. Cancelled it and - my God - I'm glad I did. It'll get rented through Lovefilm, but I think it'll be a single dedicated playthrough. The latest revelation is that the game doesn't actually save on the 360. It stores your progress... in the cache. Yeah. Read that again. Play a couple of other games before you finish this one, and the cache reset will wipe all your progress. How the F did someone think that was a sensible idea? |

O_o Really?! You must be kidding with me. That isn't sloppy planning, that is just extremely bad execution and an offense to paying costumers... Another brick in the be careful for future releases from Gearbox wall for me... What is happening to some production teams in the the last few years is just astonashing! |

Crysis 3. Five hour campaign? I'm out. Rental. (You know, the value of boardgames has given me a real sense of perspective recently.) Looks like the next thing I actually pick up will be Tomb Raider. Unless it's three hours long, of course. |

I really don't understand what they were thinking with the cache'd save thing... especially since now cloud saves etc are so widely used |

Simpsons' Tapped Up (iOS) - my dirty little secret that I have played everyday since October. Grinding away to get to level 25 (it goes no higher), with the promise of some new character or Springfield landmark spurring me on. The only way I could stop myself is to delete the bloody thing off my iPhone. /hangs head in shame... |

I could definitely see me falling prey to a game like that also... I've toyed with many of them but always managed to delete them before getting very far in, but I imagine once they have their claws in you it's very hard to stop playing... |

I'm not playing home console games. I should have done this years ago. |

frod said:I'm not playing home console games. I should have done this years ago. So are you just playing mobile games? PC games? I'd love to make the transition to PC gaming, especially for something like Skyrim for the modding (which I am very tempted to get on PC anyway) but for me it's hard to weigh up the two - playing on a big TV with surround sound on a comfy sofa, vs playing on a PC with very small load times, better graphics and potential for huge customisations |

my computer has a HDMI port and a wireless xbox controller |

Ah! Very nice... I guess with Steam's Big TV mode too you've got a great setup there. (could be the excuse I've been waiting for to update my Acer Revo HTPC too!) |

Currently not playing Halo 4 or AC3, despite not having finished either. Completed The Cave several times over... |

Into the third mission of seven. It's pretty, but Christ is it generic and tame. I haven't been troubled - at all - on Hard difficulty. And I'm typically shit at this sort of thing. I can't even say how I compare it to C2 (which bored the piss out of me long before it ended). It pales next to the original though (even on XBLA). |
