Based on my own problems and the Watchdog program I'd like to get an unbiased opinion of the failure rate of 360 consoles.

Therefore if you've got one could you please answer the following questions and try to keep the thread on topic?

1) Roughly when did you buy your console (release day, 5 months after etc.)?

2) Have you ever had to return it (be it to Microsoft or to the shop you bought it from)?

3) How many times have you had to return it?

4) If applicable, what's been your experience with MS customer support (terrible, poor, average, good, excellent)

4) America? Awesome. Fantasticness. Brilliance, some of the best customer service I've ever had.

Europe? I wouldnt piss on them if they were on fire. Language barrier, inflexibility, lack of basic understanding of the product. You name it. They're utter utter shit (based on 3 calls).

4)Spent 40 minutes on hold and never got through.

My 360's warranty expires in two weeks, it works fine most of the time but crashes occasionally, ejects the drive tray about 6/7 times before a game will load and I will see if I can get a replacement before warranty does expire.

4) Rang up and was told that labels would be posted, after a week I rang them again and was told that they would instead email me them. After that it took three days to collect and then deliver a new xbox back to me. So initially poor but good after that.

4) Not good - had to wait ages when I wanted to cancel my Xbox Live renewal, and was told in very broken English that I'd lose all my points and Achievements. Which, of course, was total horseshit.
