At the moment - Mark Kermode reviewing TMNT. He doesn't like it much but that isn't really a suprise. Generally, I'm going through stuff I haven't listened to for a couple of years such as Echo and the Bunnymen, Electric Soft Parade and The Shins. |

I'm thoroughly enjoying Idlewild's new LP "Make a new world". Best melodic indie music with heavy guitars ever! oh, and best Scottish accent too.... |

Reminds me - YAY that "500 miles" is back out, by the Proclaimers. BOO that fucking fat bastard Peter Kaye camped onto it with that shitty Comic Relief version Peej |

Is it Peter Kaye? I heard a version with Mat Lucas doing his Andy character all over it. Possibly with Walliams providing support, but my reception wasn't too good and I couldn't catch much of it. |

I heard a snippet and then there was mention that this would be this week's no.1 and I shouted "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO" The original should chart. I think the Proclaimers rock! Peej |

Actually Mal we're both right, it's both of 'em! Peej |

I'm listening to the SXSW artist showcase (get the 3gb torrent from sxsw.com). 730 tracks by different bands (I've heard of about 3 of 'em). All sorts of music types, it's very good indeed. Playing in alphabetical order, I'm up to C. Buck 65 sound pretty good - Canadian rapper, apparently. |

SXSW keeps giving me file not found when i try to grab the torrent. :( |

Listening to a rip from DVD of the Stones Roses Live at Blackpool Academy. Ian Brown can't sing live for toffee, but I don't care. Stone Roses = my fave band. |

Ian Brown's "The Greatest" is one of my favourite albums of recent years - think I might stick it on the iPod for the commute home. Thanks for the inspiration/reminder! |

I've had shuffle on today so it's been a bit of a cross section. I rather like that Mica Grace Kelly track. Other stuff is Snow Patrol, Idlewild, Chris Cornell, Saves the Day, Pennywise, Queen.... Hmm, I note I am missing my daily dose of ska. /goes in search of his Mad Caddies collection |

I only listen to radio very rarely and then the local brussels stations, so I have no idea if it's an annoying endlessly repeated tune in the UK. I never pay much attention to what the aural intelligentsia think so sorry if I mentioned a current bugbear there wopr! |

A bit of Money Mark's new album, which I only realised was out cos it got a review in the Metro today. Liked Push the Button a lot but I'm yet to be convinced by this. And Pandora. |

Push the Button was a Fantastic album. As for electronica, my favourites have always been Stereolab, funny bleepy noises with a bit of gallic flair long before Air and Daft Punk (both incidentally great by the way) hit the scene. Emperor Tomato Ketchup and Dots and Loops were the two best albums in my book. BTW way has anyone got any tips for some good old pogoworthy indie/rock gigs coming up in London town soon? It appears I've completely lost touch. |

I swear, if anyone ever invents a roving music device that can just wirelessly pick up my pandora stations I doubt I'd ever buy music ever again. Peej |

Subsim.Com and some links from the threads about modding the radio. Here - Radio Hollywood. here - Radio Honoloulou and here - Captain Midnight. They're just mp3s or oggs so you can listen to them outside the game. There's a couple of links to archives in the "Oldtime Radio/Radio Hollywood" thread too. Enjoy, i just want to go and sink stuff now. :) |
